ARIMEX CSR 2024: A Healthier Future
In 2024, Arimex conducted its responsible activities in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The company’s priority areas included product and process quality, public health promotion, environmentally friendly consumption, sustainable energy, and economic stability.
Arimex has always believed that sustainability begins not with grand words but with real actions — daily decisions to create a more responsible business, stronger communities, and a healthier future. This journey starts with ourselves. That’s why in 2024, we focused primarily on our employees — creating an environment where they feel safe and are motivated to live healthier lives. This year also marked a breakthrough in wellness promotion. Our initiatives and events inspired thousands of people across Lithuania to live more actively, and our support for sports even reached athletes preparing for the Paris Olympics. “Health is a value we not only believe in, but actively cultivate,” emphasized Arimex founder and CEO Arnas Jurskis.
Focus on Quality and Environmental Protection
Last year, Arimex’s strong focus on ensuring the highest product quality was recognized with the top-level BRCGS AA certification standard — a recognition the company has received for five consecutive years. This certification demonstrates that Arimex’s food safety commitments meet the best global practices.
The company’s operational efficiency was acknowledged in Scandinavia, where Arimex was recognized as a leading supplier among 730 brands working with the largest Scandinavian retail network, Coop.
Arimex’s CO₂ footprint calculations revealed that the company’s emission intensity is one of the lowest in the market compared to other category manufacturers. Last year, Arimex continued its supply of recyclable packaging, increasing the number of such SKUs by 20%.
In the area of natural resource conservation, the company continued implementing solutions to reduce gas and CO₂ use for space and water heating. Arimex uses 100% renewable electricity, and by 2025, it will generate its own green energy: it has leased a remote 560 kW power plant for five years and installed a 505 kW power plant on the roof of its building.
Motivating Healthier Living
2024 saw a significant contribution from Arimex in fostering healthy lifestyle habits among the public. For the second year in a row, the national project for families, “Dviratynės,” was launched, during which the country’s most prominent cyclists taught about 1,000 children how to ride safely. The project visited six Lithuanian cities, brought together a strong cycling and active living community, and promoted a friendly bike culture and love for sport.
The company supported four national sports federations and initiated more than 100 public healthy lifestyle activities, engaging over 21,000 participants.
Arimex provided nuts and dried fruits for the Paris Olympic Games, donated €10,000 in scholarships to top talents of the Capital Sports Center (SSC), and encouraged the activity of the oldest university community in Europe — Vilnius University — by contributing €100,000 to VU’s endowment fund. The fund’s investment returns will support initiatives promoting physical activity and wellness among the VU community.
The values of a quality lifestyle were also fostered internally. The Arimex Hiking Club had a particularly active season — employees collectively walked 3,600 kilometers over the year and participated in 30 wellness events.
For a Happier Childhood
Last year, Arimex founder Arnas Jurskis was granted the honorary title of Patron of Vilnius for donating nearly €300,000 in 2024 to the organization “Save the Children.” Jurskis has supported the organization for more than three decades, making Arimex the longest-standing corporate donor in its history.
In 2024, the company’s employees continued their volunteer work by helping a family supported by “Save the Children” that was facing hardships. A single mother, Virginija, lived in a small apartment with her five children, sharing one room with her two daughters. On their own initiative, Arimex employees helped the family create more private living space.
